It depends on the color of smoke that is coming out of your Murray push mower to determine what the problem is. If there is white smoke, then oil may have leaked into the cylinder or air filter, especially if the mower was tipped on the wrong side. Check and clean or replace the air filter and spark plug for oil. The smoke will eventually go away once itâ€™s all burned up.
If there is black smoke, it usually is because there is too much fuel in the air-fuel mixture (normally 14:1). Also, check the choke, it should be fully open, if itâ€™s not then you may have a problem in the carburetor.
