In most cases, the fuel filter is the culprit for a Yard-Man push lawn mower to not run properly. The fuel filter is located on the fuel line that is connected to the carburetor. Fuel filters can get clogged, however they cannot be cleaned they have to be replaced.
Changing a fuel filter on a Yard-Man lawn mower is quite easy. The filter is clamped into place in the center of the gas line. Squeeze the clamps and slide them away from the fuel filter. Then just pull the fuel filter from the gas line and replace it with a new one. Slide the clamps back into place.
You can find the model and serial numbers located on your Yard-Man push or self-propelled lawnmower on the deck, or on the rear door of rear discharge units.
