The first thing to check if your Honda small engine won’t start is the oil level. Many Honda small engines have a low oil detection switch that will shut the engine off and prevent it from starting if the oil level is too low to properly operate the engine.
If the oil level is correct, the next thing to check is whether the engine is getting any spark. Remove the spark plug and test with an in-line spark tester. If no spark is getting to the plug, the problem may be a shorted wire or a bad coil.
